Raptor rehab & avian education

The Sanctuary at Heathrow

As part of The Sanctuary’s commitment to creating a habitat-friendly and educational environment, the community is exploring a raptor rehabilitation & avian education component designed to promote learning, conservation, and the protection of local birdlife.

A SANCTUARY FOR NATURE

The aviary would serve as a dedicated space for non-releasable birds of prey, offering residents and visitors a meaningful connection to Florida’s native wildlife while reinforcing the community’s vision of living in harmony with nature. Through thoughtful design, native landscaping, and potential partnerships with licensed wildlife rehabilitation professionals, The Sanctuary aims to create an environment that supports awareness, preservation, and responsible stewardship.

This feature reflects the heart of The Sanctuary’s name: a community envisioned not only as a peaceful retreat for residents, but as a place where nature is protected, celebrated, and woven into everyday life.
